My Big Idea: AI visibility tool Trendos

Hi Gintare! What's your elevator pitch?
AI search is becoming the go-to for many people to research products, compare services, and vet companies. We’ve built the best visibility tool for this new layer of search. Using Trendos platform, businesses can see and understand how AI platforms like ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI characterize and recommend their brands. This includes how and when their brand shows up, and how it’s compared to competitors. We even provide strategies to improve overall LLM visibility. In short, we’re lifting the lid on the black box of AI search.
Why does the market need it?
The market needs it because search has fundamentally changed. People have stopped scrolling through multiple results on Google and started asking AI chats direct questions about products and services. Unfortunately for businesses, this has created a significant blind spot. The legacy visibility measurement tools like Google rankings, website traffic, and social media numbers give zero insight into what LLMs like ChatGPT or Gemini are actually telling potential customers about a brand. Trendos’ job is to make that visible, so businesses can understand what influences those answers and how to improve.
Where is the business today?
Trendos launched publicly this year and now has about 6,000 users and a team of 35 people. We're already working across the US, UK and Germany. Our customers range from specialist SEO and GEO teams to marketing agencies and major brands.
It’s still early days, but our product is developing rapidly. We’re focused on moving beyond showing businesses how visible they are in AI search towards helping them understand why and what they can do about it.
What made you think there was money in this?
We didn’t necessarily start Trendos because we saw dollar signs. At first, we noticed a change in search behavior that wasn’t being addressed by the search visibility tool market. People were using LLMs to research products, compare companies, and decide what to buy, but no tool had given brands the ability to track this accordingly.
Our team already had deep experience in building large-scale data and monitoring products, so we understood both the problem and the difficulty of proper measurement. The commercial opportunity followed rather naturally. If AI is becoming an important discovery channel, then businesses will need the same kind of intelligence that they've relied on for search and other digital channels. We figured they would be willing to pay for the right tool, and so far, that’s been the case.
What's your biggest strength?
You’ve probably heard this one before, but it’s the truth: Our greatest strength is the quality of the data underneath the product. Platforms can give different answers depending on when, where, and how a question is asked, so getting a reliable picture requires a huge amount of data and infrastructure.
Our team has deep experience in large-scale data collection and analysis, and we brought that to Trendos. We analyze hundreds of thousands of prompts across multiple AI platforms and collect an enormous amount of data, then turn those answers into something businesses can actually trust and act on.
What is the secret to making the business work?
The secret is making something complicated feel simple. AI search is incredibly complex under the hood, and our customers shouldn't need to become experts in how LLMs work in order to understand how their brand is being seen. They have better things to do.
We're focused on turning measurements into actionable insights that are legible to our clients, namely what has changed, why it matters, and what to do next. If we can keep doing the difficult work while making the experience simpler for the customer, I think we'll be in a very strong position.
How do you market the company?
A lot of our marketing is about education because this is still a very new category. Businesses obviously know that people are using LLMs to discover products, but they haven't yet made the leap to thinking seriously about what that means for their own visibility.
We tend to do show-and-tell long before we start selling. We share data and insights about how AI search is evolving, attend industry events, work with the SEO and marketing communities, and give businesses the opportunity to see their own AI visibility for themselves. As the market matures, we want Trendos to be a trusted source of intelligence about where AI-driven discovery is heading, not just another company promoting a software product.
Tell us about the business model
We're a subscription software business. Trendos offers businesses ongoing access to the platform to monitor and understand their visibility across AI search, with different levels of access depending on their needs.
We also have a free offering, which is important to us because we want businesses to be able to see how they're appearing in AI search before asking them to invest in solving the problem.
What were you doing before?
Before Trendos, I was Head of Commerce at Oxylabs, web intelligence and proxy infrastructure company that became Lithuanian unicorn. That gave me heaps of experience working with large-scale web data and seeing how businesses use data to understand markets and make better decisions.
As it turned out, Oxylabs was the perfect background to have going into Trendos. When AI platforms started becoming a genuine discovery channel, I could see that businesses were facing a new version of a familiar problem—there’s so much happening, but no infrastructure or data to see it. That became the seed of Trendos.
Are there any technologies you've found useful?
AI itself has obviously been enormously useful, but perhaps not always in the way people realize. We collect and analyze a huge volume of responses from different AI platforms, and then we have to make sense of it. The latter process is the more formidable challenge.
We've found AI particularly useful for analyzing information and data at scale. It’s essential for identifying patterns, understanding context, and separating meaningful insights from noise. Combined with the large-scale data infrastructure our team has experience building, AI helps us turn millions of individual data points into something a marketing team can actually use.
What is the future vision?
Our long-term vision is to make AI search as measurable and understandable as traditional search is today. What happens inside platforms like ChatGPT and Gemini is still mostly opaque to businesses, and it shouldn’t be.
We want Trendos to be the tool of choice for this new visibility. We’ll show companies where and how they appear, and we’ll help them make smarter visibility-based choices moving forward. AI is becoming the most popular way consumers discover products, services, and information, and we want Trendos to become the premier intelligence layer for this new paradigm.
